Guthrie Theater - New
The brand new Guthrie Theater opened in May 2006 to the public. Located right on the banks of the Mississippi River near historic St. Anthony Main and the former milling district of Minneapolis. The building has several public bars and restaurants offering unique spaces to relax. The endless bridge, one of the largest occupied cantilvers in the world, has an outdoor observation area affording fantastic views of the river. Jean Nouvel won the Pritzker Prize, architecture's highest honor, in large part for his design of the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.
